The Strokes play Personal Festival, Buenos Aires

The Strokes played their penultimate show of the year at Personal Festival in Argentina

Unfortunately the live stream for this show was appalling so I couldn’t watch or record it. However, I do have audio courtesy of Florenciaos

The guys brought back a few classics for the setlist including 12:51 and HIAC. I adore the beginning of 12:51 with the crowd going crazy.

More collaborations as The Strokes play Pearl Jam Fest Day Two

The second day of the Pearl Jam Festival provided yet more collaborations. I honestly love it when The Strokes perform with other people it always add in an extra element of fun and the guys clearly have a blast.

Julian joined QOTSA on stage during Sick Sick Sick – the song that he performed backing vocals and guitar for back in 2007. QOTSA singer Josh Homme returned the favour and came out for New York City Cops, as well as Eddie Vedder singing on Juicebox again.

Finally Julian (having a busy night) sang backing vocals on Pearl Jam’s Red Mosquito.

Overall sounds like another great night and I’m sure anyone at the concerts this weekend had a blast. I’m so jealous of anyone who went BTW ha

Interviews

1.48 into this clip you can see Nick and Albert talk about Pearl Jam, Nick who I think along with Julian is the biggest fan of the band in The Strokes is clearly ecstatic to be playing at the festival

The Strokes play Pearl Jam Fest and perform with Eddie Vedder

After last weekend’s epic performance with Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker this weekend has given us yet another collaboration. The Strokes were part of the bill for Pearl Jam’s 20th Anniversary celebrations.

If you’ve ever read any interviews with the guys you know how Pearl Jam and the Grunge movement was a massive influence on the band. Eddie Vedder previously joined The Strokes on stage during the Rolling Stone 1000th edition party back in 2006 and then the Pearl Jam singer along with QOTSA’s Josh Homme covered Mercy Mercy Me with The Strokes.

Now the love fest continues with Eddie joining The Strokes on stage once again for Juicebox

Julian then returned the favour and got on stage during Pearl Jam’s set helping with Not For You.
