I’ve always loved sharing all the concerts and TV performances with other Strokes fans and Mediafire has been the easiest way to do that. I have never uploaded anything by The Strokes that could be purchased legally, it’s always been about bootlegs that you can’t get otherwise.

I have something like 30GB of Strokes media currently uploaded to Mediafire, if it was to be closed down currently there is no other hosting service I could upload it all to and even if there was it would take a long time. I could possibly uploaded the audio to my own site but the videos would be too much.

I don’t want to panic anyone but seriously the way everything is going right now Mediafire closing or having restrictions is sadly a likely scenario.

So if there is a concert you always meant to download but have yet then I suggest doing that sooner rather than later.

Some links are probably broken but I don’t have the time right now to upload them again.

I honestly hope that Mediafire doesn’t close, it would be a great loss to us all. I will keep you updated with any developments.

Pitchfork Readers Poll

Angles was #8 as the Most Underated Album and Under Cover of Darkness came in at 32 on the Top 50 Songs list. The Strokes were also 5th on the Best Comeback/Reunion poll

NME Readers Poll

Thanks to all the voting done by fans Angles came in at #2 on the NME Readers Best Album of 2011 poll and Under Cover of Darkness  was also #2 on the Top Song, well done everyone.

Angles was listed in the BBC’s Top Album Art of 2011, interesting choice seeing as how many people seemed to outright hate the art when it was first revealed. I was always indifferent to it myself.

Julian joined QOTSA on stage during Sick Sick Sick – the song that he performed backing vocals and guitar for back in 2007. QOTSA singer Josh Homme returned the favour and came out for New York City Cops, as well as Eddie Vedder singing on Juicebox again.

Finally Julian (having a busy night) sang backing vocals on Pearl Jam’s Red Mosquito.

Overall sounds like another great night and I’m sure anyone at the concerts this weekend had a blast. I’m so jealous of anyone who went BTW ha

If you’ve ever read any interviews with the guys you know how Pearl Jam and the Grunge movement was a massive influence on the band. Eddie Vedder previously joined The Strokes on stage during the Rolling Stone 1000th edition party back in 2006 and then the Pearl Jam singer along with QOTSA’s Josh Homme covered Mercy Mercy Me with The Strokes.

Now the love fest continues with Eddie joining The Strokes on stage once again for Juicebox
